Arab Thought Foundation launched its Fourth Arab Report on Cultural Development at FIKR10

Dubai, Sunday December 3rd 2011- On the day before the 10th round of FIKR takes off, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, President of the Arab Thought Foundation launched the Fourth Arab Report on Cultural Development in a press conference held in Jumairah Zabeel Saray in Dubai, the hosting city. The press conference brought together Lebanese Minister of Culture Mr. Gabi Layyoun, Jordanian Minister of Culture Dr. Salah Jarar, and Qatari Minister of Culture Dr. Hamad Al Kawary. The event was also attended by a wide array of public and media figures all gathered to witness this inauguration.

The report discusses University education and work market: imbalances on both sides, Arab youth issues on Internet: “Indicators and implications”, Arab youth writings: An attempt to monitor, also enclosed there is a special folder: Language in exile or youth immigration? As well  as a Creativity folder: Cinema on the eve of “Arab spring”, Arab dramatists and the dark tunnel, Cultural content of the Arabic song and finally the 2010 Annual cultural yield folder.

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal welcomed all the invites and celebrated the launching of the fourth report. He thanked all those who contributed to putting together this report. He highlighted  and said " A lot of people were impressed that an Arab foundation is able to compete with the United Nations in issuing and mastering such reports with high caliber and professionalism" He stated "We are honored to present  this report to all the Arab citizens"
Mr. Gabi Layoun, Lebanese Minister of Culture was honored to take part in this occasion. He said that Lebanon had a great role in the Arab renaissance and still perseverant in promoting Arab thoughts.  "Our society's success lies in producing knowledge not consuming it".

Qatari Minister of Culture Mr. Hamad Al Kawary said that the report offer the Arab a great opportunity for dialogue and exchange of thoughts and knowledge.
Jordanian Minister of Culture Dr. Salah Jarar insisted on the fact that this report helps in deliberating and taking the right decisions as well as promoting cooperation and solidarity among Arab countries.

At the end of the press conference His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal honored some of the present Arab media for taking part and sponsoring the Fourth Arab Report on Cultural Development.
